Why the Nails Didn't Hold Jesus Christ to the Cross, Love for You Did

The nails didn't hold Jesus Christ to the cross. Love did.

He could have called twelve legions of angels. He could have stepped down. He could have ended it with a word. But He didn't. Because you were worth the nails. You were worth the thorns. You were worth the spear in His side.

Jesus had no choice.

Jesus Christ chose you over escape. That's Friday.

Every breath was voluntary. Every lash was chosen. Every moment of separation from the Father was Him saying your name and deciding you were worth it. "It is finished" wasn't defeat. It was completion. The sacrifice nobody comprehends. God becoming sin so you could become righteousness. That's the beautiful, brutal love of Good Friday.
