How to Rewire Your Brain From Comparison to Celebration
Stop coveting the gift that someone else has been given.
Let today be the first day of many where you're thankful for the gifts that you've been
given.
Here's how you begin to rewire your brain from comparison to celebration: make it your
ultimate pleasure to celebrate small wins. Congratulate yourself for all the things you've
accomplished thus far. Know that this world is definitely a better place because you are
in it.
This is the beginning of reclaiming your life.
You don't have to live in a mode of feeling like you need to solve everything all the time.
You don't have to—better yet, let me say it this way—resist the urge to feel the need to
have a Plan B, C, D, and F.
When you do this, you inflict unnecessary trauma and anxiety where it's not needed.
Here's what most people miss: the constant backup planning isn't wisdom—it's fear
dressed up as preparation. It's your brain's way of saying, "I don't trust that God has this
handled."
Train your mind to enjoy every single solitary second that you're in, because time is one
thing you can't get back.
This is one of the beginning stages of reclaiming your life, reclaiming your healing,
reclaiming your own value in your own eyes.
Every day we're given on this earth is a beautiful day to do one thing and one thing only:
first we wake, we open our eyes, and we thank our Creator. We give thanks for all our
blessings, knowing that every day He's given us the opportunity to open our eyes,
there's a difference we can make in our own lives and the lives around us.
Don't take it for granted. Make the most of it. Don't minimize it. Don't rush through it.
Feel every moment. Love it. And it will be the beginning of everything you've longed for.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, designed you with specific gifts for a specific purpose.
When you spend your time coveting someone else's gifts, you're essentially telling God
that He made a mistake with you.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)
You are His workmanship. Not a rough draft. Not a backup plan. His masterpiece, created
for works He prepared specifically for you.
The gifts you've been given aren't random. They're strategic. They're exactly what the
world needs from you, not from someone else.
When you stop coveting and start celebrating, you stop living in scarcity and start living
in abundance. You stop asking, "Why don't I have what they have?" and start asking
"How can I steward what I've been given?"
It's one decision after the next. That's how you get there.
The decision to celebrate instead of compare. The decision to trust instead of back up
plan. The decision to be present instead of rushing through.
