Dismantling the Enemy's Internal Tactics of Monitoring and Control.

You think your biggest enemy is out there. He's not. He's in your inner circle, disguised as support. He's in your schedule, disguised as busyness. You've been sold a lie that the attack would be a frontal assault.

The enemy's most effective weapon is a surveillance system. He uses people to monitor, not support. He uses conversations to exhaust, not encourage. He uses your own calendar to run you ragged so you're too tired to make progress. It's an inside job, designed to make you stagnate from within.

Just cut off toxic people. The real work is forgiving yourself for not knowing the difference between a supporter and a spy. It's recognizing that apart from the true vine, we are defenseless. As Jesus Christ said, "apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). The enemy's strategy is to sever that connection through internal confusion and exhaustion.

I had to learn to let myself off the hook for trusting when I should have been discerning. The breakthrough wasn't in spotting the enemy, but in forgiving myself for not seeing his spies sooner. And that required me to ask God for something I didn't know I needed: forgiveness for simply not knowing.

If you're carrying the weight of what you didn't see, it's time to lay it down. Ask Him to forgive you for what you couldn't have known. Then ask Him to sharpen your discernment so you can finally see the difference between what supports you and what's just watching you.
