You're Not a Tree

What Happens When You Realize You Can Actually Move

You're not a tree.

So why are you standing there like one?

I've met people who drained every ounce of virtuous energy from my body. And at some point, I realized this was an utter waste of time.

Time is the only thing I can't get back. I can rebuild finances. I can heal relationships. I can start over in a new city. But I can't reclaim yesterday.

And there's nothing more disappointing than realizing you poured energy into an interaction that had no point.

Here's what I know: a person with purpose needs to surround themselves with others who have vision. Not people who drain you. Not people who keep you stuck on the same dirt path you've been traveling for years.

The world says you're being loyal by staying. But loyalty to dysfunction is just fear with better branding.

Personal growth comes from taking personal responsibility. For the things you say. The people you interact with. The things you allow to sidetrack you. All of it.

Blame shifting feels good in the moment. But after the dust settles, you realize you've solved nothing.

Here's the question that haunts me: why does our brain incline towards traveling well-worn dirt paths when there are fresh paved roads just begging to be traveled and open for business?

It's human nature to think, "One more chance. This time it'll be different."

But it won't. Not until you move.

You're not a tree. You can move. You're not incapable of learning something different. I've spoken about this before—how we can rewire the brain. And in doing so, you can change your entire life.

Life is one big, beautiful lesson. Not torture.

Put your pride to the side. Allow yourself to grow. And it can be one of the most amazing experiences you'll have the privilege of being a part of.

I challenge you today: let this be the first day of the rest of your life. Take in every opportunity—good, bad, indifferent, disappointing, and otherwise—as a beautiful lesson. And use it to make you better.

Not cliché, better. Strategic better.

Tactical. Applying strategy when achieving a goal.

Think about what you're thinking about. We're intelligent beings. We were never meant to fall prey to everything that falls into our head. It truly is the battlefield of the mind (2 Corinthians 10:5).

If you don't know where to start, you've come to the right place. A community of people who are on the same journey as you. People who know they don't have it all figured out. But they're seeking.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. We believe in Jesus Christ, and we know that Jesus Christ is Son of God.

If you want to know Him as your Lord and Savior, just repeat after me:

Heavenly Father, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died and rose again on the third day. I ask You to come into my heart. I surrender my life to You, and I ask You to be my Lord and Savior. I repent of all my sins, and I ask that You come in from this day forward and lead me. In Jesus' mighty name I pray, amen.

The Breakthrough Prayer Arsenal was created for this moment—to help you rewire the patterns, step off the dirt path, and onto the fresh pavement God has been holding open for you.

You're not a tree. So move.

Share This: Send this to someone who's been standing still too long. They need to hear this: You're not a tree. You can move.

"I've Tried Everything. Nothing Works. "

If you've said this, you're not broken. You're just missing ONE piece.

The pattern you can't see (but everyone around you can)
Why the same situations keep showing up
How to stop the cycle without "doing more work on yourself"

"I saw my pattern on page 2. I literally gasped. This is why my relationships always end the same way."
